The Ad Hoc Tick-Borne Disease Action Committee Held a Meeting on
Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the Senior Center, Newtown, CT
MINUTES
Present: Mark Alexander, Kirk Blanchard, Neil Chaudhary, David Delia, Peter Licht, Michele McLeod, and George Miller. Absent: Mary Gaudet-Wilson, Kim Harrison, Maggie Shaw, and Robert Grossman. Also Present: Dave Shugarts and E. Patricia Llodra, First Selectman.
Dr. McLeod convened the meeting at 8:11 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Mr. Alexander motioned to approve the minutes of May 25, 2011. ~Mr. Delia seconded the motion. ~The minutes were unanimously approved as amended.
FINAL REPORT DISCUSSION:
Dr. McLeod handed out copies of the draft final report, noting that it will be approximately 80+ pages long. Sections of the report were discussed, including the Vaccine section (formatted by Mr. Chaudhary and approved by Dr. Licht) and the Deer and Tick Borne Disease Section (which will be formatted by Mr. Chaudhary). Other reports (Forestry, Deer Vehicle Accidents, etc. were discussed as well. All sections will be reviewed and edited. The draft final report will be e-mailed to the committee for one final review. Ms. Llodra encouraged the committee to meet one more time in order to review the report together before submitting to the Board of Selectmen. She also encouraged everyone to attend the Board of Selectmen meeting when the report is presented.
Adjournment – Mr. Blanchard motioned to adjourn the meeting at 9:33 pm. ~~The motion was seconded Mr. Alexander. ~The motion was approved unanimously.
